Mr. Minott is one of three extraordinarily gifted brothers. He and his siblings are of Jamaican descent and were raised in the Jane and Finch community. Mr. Minott, along with his siblings, overcame considerable adversity to become world renowned in their chosen paths.
A former resident of York Region, Mr. Minott labours in the world of paleontology as a world acclaimed palaeon-artist. He recreates realistic life size replicas of dinosaurs when they are discovered. He works closely with famous scientists/professors--globally.

Mr. Minott is hailed by critics as the best palaeon-artist in the world. His dinosaur models can be found all over the planet in coveted museums and zoos (including the Smithsonian, the ROM and the Toronto Zoo). His work was also featured in the National Geographic Magazine as well as on CNN.
In fact, a large National Geographic film/production crew flew in from England (to Etobicoke) to shoot a feature documentary on Mr. Minott’s reconstruction of a famous Moroccan dinosaur fossil (Carchardontosaurus) discovered by Dr. Paul Sereno, world renowned Paleontologist.
Mr. Minott has also worked on several Hollywood films. The last movie he worked on was: Grey Gardens starring: Drew Barrymore, Jessica Lange etc.; the movie is based on the life of Jackie Kennedy’s eccentric aunt and first cousin.
In May/2008, Garfield relocated to Tacoma, Washington, as a result of---a lack of Canadian work/recognition. Now of course, shortly after his departure, he was summoned back to Canada to do three major installations for three prominent institutions in the City of Toronto.
Mr. Minott’s talent is not limited to palaeon-art; he can draw, paint and sculpt virtually anything (e.g. pets, people, landscapes etc.) in all mediums. In fact, Mr. Minott used his sculpting skills to assist his brother in designing a motorcycle they named the Scorpion: http://www.motorcycle.com/news/scorpion-by-canjamoto-67828.html
Mr. Minott was selected by the Multimedia Film Development Council of York Region to craft the artwork for the awards for the inaugural year (2010) of the multimedia film festival.
